this painting is with my sister angie. she is an avid ocean fan and lives near the coast in north carolina. i used to visit her in the 80's when her mom was married to my dad. we would vacation in tennessee and myrtle beach and i lived with them for a time in my middle teens in the late 80's. she is one of the sweetest and coolest girls i know. My dad worked for marlboro cigarettes and so we would trounce around town in marlboro shirts, hats and beach towels as kids and noone said boo about it. so many sweet endearing memories of us in the 80s.
i see this painting as an upwelling of sediment, earth and memories as turbulent times sweep the ocean floor stirring up and muddying the waters. but as always the patience of the sky and sun know that all will settle in due time. his righteousness will always endure and there isn't anything anyone or anything can do about it. rest in this. know this as the fundamental truth.
