In 2004 i was working at a private art school in the admissions dept and working with around ten other sales professionals. I had done some sales in san francisco on the side while i pursued street art, rhyming and serenading the different cultures of the earth however...Once I moved back to NC i had to put all my eggs in that basket. there was this girl there that started working with us and she was beautiful. she was younger than me but we hung out some. I wanted to ask her out so i basically shouted to her friend over the cubicle that i was going to ask her out and her friend said i shouldn't as she was getting back with her ex. i was still under the impression that i was strong with the force (which i wasn't at that time) so that didn't deter me. i spent nights that i couldn't sleep painting a picture of this woman who i had a clipping in a newspaper that was purpoted to be diego riviera's wife at one time. I thought she was beautiful. the painting came out great and was really special. one day i thought i'd give it to the girl and asked her to go out. well that didn't pan out well. I walked into work the next day and it was super awkward. so i lost the beautiful painting but decades later i found the picture and recreated it in with a much larger canvas. this woman still is very beautiful. it reminds me of my grandmother who was full chicana- angela diaz. i loved her deeply.
